The Founder of ‘Mama Omi Iye’

My name is Maite Marchiori — a mother, sister, daughter, and dedicated birthkeeper.
For over five years, I have walked alongside women and families, holding space through the sacred journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

My journey deepened when I had the privilege to study with the traditional Mexican midwife, Mestra Naoli Vinaver. Through her teachings, I embraced ancestral wisdom, ceremony, and healing practices that honor birth as a profound rite of passage.

I am certified through the Australian Doula College (now Womb to Tomb Foundation) as a Birth and Postpartum Doula and Antenatal Birth Educator. I’m also a Certified Pilates Instructor, specialising in prenatal and postnatal bodywork, and a passionate birth and life photographer.

Fluent in English, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish, I bring culturally informed, heart-centered care that honors your unique story and lineage.

Mama Omiiye is my Adimu — my sacred offering to birthing parents — supporting body, mind, and spirit through pregnancy, birth, recovery, and beyond.

This is the heart of my work: blending evidence-based knowledge with ancestral teachings to empower and nurture birthing bodies and families.
